Depeche Mode has been the soundtrack to our lives since the late 80s. John and I shared a love for their music for decades, but we were always too young to catch them during their peak years. That finally changed in 2023 with the Memento Mori tour. Our first stop was Chicago, which felt like a deeply moving milestone. It was their first tour since the loss of Andy Fletcher, and watching them take the stage made a lifelong dream finally feel real.
The photos in this album capture our second show that year at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. This time we were right by the soundboard with a perfect view of the stage. We were close enough to see the sweat dripping off Dave and Martin as they poured everything into the performance. Being immersed in songs like "Policy of Truth" and "Precious" from that distance was a profound gift. These images celebrate a decades-long journey that finally came full circle right here at home.
